This is the shocking moment a Russian schoolgirl was beaten up and forced to drink from a puddle by classmates who were 'jealous of her good looks'. 

Vlada Kholod, 13, was filmed being attacked by a gang of four girls at her school in Korkino in western Russia's Ural Mountains.

It’s Official! Dan Foster Quits Inspiration Fm

One of Inspiration Fm’s prominent staff, Dan Foster who left Cool Fm, to be with them in 2009 has quit. A lot of his fans have been wondering why Dan hasn’t been on air, and there were unconfirmed reports that he had resigned from the radio station.

Anyway, Dan has let the big cat out of the bag this morning, when he took to his twitter page to announce his new programme on radio with City Fm. Dan appealed to his fans to tune into the radio station and listen to his programme which would run every morning from 6am – 10am, weekdays. See his tweets confirming he now works with them after the cut.

Meriam Ibrahim to be freed soon after Sudanese court orders release

According to Sudan's SUNA news agency, Meriam Ibrahim, the Sudanese woman sentenced to death for refusing to abandon her christian faith is to be released soon. The state media today announced that the appeal court has ruled that she be immediately freed and all charges against her dropped.

"The appeal court ordered the release of Mariam Yahya and the cancellation of the (previous) court ruling," Sudan's SUNA news agency said.

One of her lawyers, Elshareef Ali Mohammed, who expressed doubt over the announcement said he was on his way to the prison to know if it was true. Continue...

Police arrest suspected Kano bomber

Nigeria security forces have arrested a suspect in connection with the bomb blast that happened this afternoon at the School of Hygiene, BUK Road in Kano at least eight people lost their lives with 12 others sustaining various degrees of injury.

Confirming the arrest, Kano State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adenrele Shinaba said investigations will begin immediately

"The suspect is in our custody, and the vehicle he used for the operation has also been towed to the police headquarters. We will get to know the motive behind the attack, and who sent him on this deadly errand." he said
