women abducted by the Boko Haram Islamic sect from Kummabza village in
the Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State two weeks ago have

FEMI OGEDENGBE NAMES NEW BEAUTY PARLOUR “ NOLLY & HOLLY”

Nollywood actor, producer and director Femi Ogedengbe is set to name his proposed
beauty parlour after his new born twins, Nolly and Holly. The hair salon is to be located in Ogba area
of Ikeja, Lagos. It is a few metres from the beauty parlour of another Nollywood
A-list star, Doris Simeon.
The
actor/movie producer who welcomed a set of twins on May 27th has revealed that
he and his wife named their son and daughter Hollywood and Nollywood
respectively. He revealed this on his Facebook page, saying everyone should
take note that they are the first in Nigeria to bear such names.
However
the action of Femi received the ire of some persons who criticized him for
naming the kids after the world`s two biggest movie industries.
When TNS
reminded him of that this is what he said, “It will not stop me from naming my
beauty salon after my kids, Nollywood and Hollywood. Like everybody I have the
right to do want I want so long as it does not cause socially recognizable harm
to anybody. Whether I named them so or not, where were my critics when I started
my movie career? I was there from the beginning when there was no Nollywood.
Anyway such
criticizing makes me understand that I am still relevant in this life. It gladdens
me after all that I had passed through in life that I am present to see my
children and know that people still do recognize my actions and in-actions.
