It has been disclosed that two bomb blasts have rocked
Ngomari area of Maiduguri at about 6:15 p.m. today Saturday March 1. The blasts
were said to have set off heavy dust and smoke in the area. Though no casualty
figure has been given, the incident reportedly triggered panic, as residents
were seen scampering for safety.
The explosive is suspected to have been detonated by members
of the extremist Boko Haram sect.
This attack is coming just days after the terrorists raided
Federal Government College in Buni Yadi, Yobe State and some villages in
Adamawa State.
The attack on the college, which has attracted condemnation
both in Nigeria and abroad, left 59 students dead.
