The presiding pastor of
the House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin has appealed to the
Nigerian Movie Industry, Nollywood to stop acting in nudity. He asked
that the industry should embrace God if it wants the blessings of its creator. The
Reverend made this admonition recently, when he played host to Nollywood
stars at his Lekki multi-billion Naira Cathedral. The visit of the
industry was part of its celebration of Nollywood@20. According to Adefarasin,
"You should realise that all gifts, including that that you have are from God.
He wants us to use such for the better of society and not to corrupt it. The
craze for sex and nudity ravaging the Nigerian Entertainment Industry is
not the will of God and not god for our society. This I say is especially with regards to movie and musical videos released everyday to an
ever consuming public. Lets stop taking off our clothes when acting in our
movies and musical videos. Only then can will get God`s blessings.'
The Nollywood delegation
was led by the President of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP) Zik
Zulu Okafor. Others on the visitation were Desmond Elliot, Chioma
Akpota, Femi Ogedegbe, Sammie Okposo, Teju Babyface. Amongst others.
