KEEP THE GIRL CHILD OFF YOUR WAR-MISS EARTH QUEENS TELL FG, BOKO HARAM




With more than 38 days into the kidnapping of the Chibok Girls and the recent abduction of the 11 Waranbe girls, all students, two of the four reigning queens of Miss Earth, Amarachi Uwakwe (Miss Eco Friendly) and Tessy BiboweiKiriboamoere (Miss Water) have jointly called of both the Federal Government of Nigeria and the terrorist sect, Boko Haram to keep the girls child off their crisis. This was made during their “I Love My Planet Earth” School Tour to Jiba Nursery & Primary School, Surulere, Lagos.

According to the two beauty queens, “the girls must be set free by Boko Haram. Girls or women are not supposed to be used as tools to settle disputes. If there are problems such should be settled, leaving mothers and children alone. The mothers and their children are the leaders of tomorrow. If there are no mothers the world would not exist. The girl child needs education, so Boko Haram should leave us out of this trouble. This is why we must all come together to fight the terrorist sect.”
They acknowledged the government efforts so far on the release of the girls and envisaged their return to society soon.
Meanwhile on her pet project, Eco Friendly, Amarachi who is a graduate of business Administration of the Imo State University, Owerri,” Miss Eco Friendly is all about knowing what to do about your environment and to help safeguard it. It is basically about environmental sustainability.  This includes going to schools telling the kids what they need know about their environment.  It is about saving mother earth.
For Computer Educationist from the Niger Delta University, Bayelsa ,Tessy “I see the environmental hazards especially of the water logging of our world as our fault.  Yet we are also the solution.  So we must learn how to protect mother earth. It is time for us all to stand up and clamour for the change. We are the habitats of the earth and so it is up to us to protect it.” 
The ”I Love My Planet Earth” School Tour is Miss Earths major project that teaches children how to take care of our environment and instil in them a sense of responsibility for protecting the environment
Active execution of the I Love My Planet Earth school tour is a valuable part of the Miss Earth pageant as such all the four Miss Earth Nigeria Queens in their various offices Must visit a certain number of schools during their reign.
