ZEB, CHICO EJIRO SHOOT MOVIE ON CASSAVA FOOD

Nollywood`s brothers, Zeb and Chico Ejiro have aligned with a World Bank`s body, Harvest Trust to produced a movie on the production and use of the new breed of Vitamin A cassava in Nigeria.

According to Chico at the audition of the cast and crew for the agriculture propelled movie, “It is to see that agricultural programmes or policies of the government can be delivered through Nollywood movies. This we are doing in collaboration with a World Bank body called Harvest Trust.  It is to pass a message across that when you eat Vitamin A cassava products it will increase your body metabolism. That it will help in the eradication of river blindness and the rampant loss of early pregnancy in women can be averted. Vitamin A cassava is a new breed of cassava that we are trying to promote and I think Nollywood movies will be good to do that.”

On how he and his partners will get this to the ordinary masses, he added, “We are carrying the grassroots farmers and the end users along in the movie.  The film will be shot in several Nigerian languages. It shall be shot at different locations in the villages and towns where the people it will benefit reside.”
