PDP SETS TO IMPOSE OLD AKALA ON OYO STATE AGAIN!

Information recently made available by a very reliable source to TNS indicates that the ruling party, the People`s Democratic Party  ( PDP) has concluded plans to foist the erstwhile governor of Oyo State, Chief Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala on the people of Oyo come 2015.

The source says that the desire of the Oyo people will not be put into consideration by the PDP in achieving its goal. It is so since all the party wants is wrestle the state from the All Progressive Party (APC).
According to the information their set objective will either not be hampered by the wishes of other party stalwarts interested in contesting the governor position under the party.
Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala (born June 3, 1950, in Ogbomosho, Ogbomosho North Local Government,  a staunch member of the ruling  PDP  two months ago made it clear to the media that he is going to run for the office he vacated in controversial circumstances. He said that only God and the electorate would decide who the next governor of the state becomes in 2015.

Alao-Akala told newsmen in Ogbomoso that “The people had tasted governance from both sides of the coin” and would, with the help of God, determine who to vote in as governor.
Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State had on Friday at the swearing-in ceremony of the local government caretaker chairmen said he would contest for a second term.
“He only expressed himself. He is entitled to his opinion but Almighty God and the electorates will decide who governs. All that the people want is someone who will rule and change their standard of living, someone who will ensure that the people have food on their table,” Alao-Akala said.
Alao-Akala said the present administration had only succeeded in expanding ready-made roads and also turned home owners into tenants through the destruction of their houses.
He also said he was not aware of any crisis in the state chapter of the PDP.
Alao-Akala, who admitted that there were some aggrieved party members, added that the problem would be resolved soon.
The former governor said he was interested in building the party and would not work against such efforts.
