One of
President Goodluck Jonathan`s arch enemy, the former Governor of the Central
Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has emerged the new Emir of Kano. This was
made public by the Secretary to the Kano State Government, Rabiu Zakariya,.
It could be
easily recalled that prior to emerging as the number one citizen and monarch of
the ancient city of Kano, the embattled ex -CBN boss has been publicly
humiliated by the Presidency for assumed false accusations the Kano boy leveled against the interest of
the president. Among such uncommon revelations which the National Assembly,
dancing to the tone of its master rubbished, the Minister of Petroleum
Resources Diezani Alison Madueke was said to have misappropriated over $20
billion. The money is believed to be part of un-remitted income of crude oil by
the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). In this, the call by the
public that the Minister be relived of her position and probed fell on deaf
hears. To make matters worst, the Minister who is believed to be among the
president`s kitchen cabinet has taken the matter to court, stopping any organ
of the state from probing her.
That is why I
may ask, “How would the President and his men feel having Sanusi as the King of
one of the most powerful emirate in Nigeria? If the president may not love
Sanusi`s new office, how long would the New Emir, a hater of the PDP led
government last in office?
What would
you say to both the President and the New Emir, Sanusi?
